Program Overview
MAAC has worked collaboratively with the Division’s office of Provider Relations Unit to develop a Crisis Continuum in an effort to address some of the challenges Georgia has faced with the increasing number of youth entering foster care with intense needs, and the resulting decrease in available placements. More specifically, this program aims to decrease the number of youth having to stay temporarily in hotels as a result of having “disrupted” other placements and finding themselves in need of emergent placement, having exhausted all other placement options.
Referrals
All referrals to the Crisis Continuum must be made by the Division of Family and Children Services through their PRO Unit. Please contact a Crisis Continuum staff member if you have questions about this process.
